Gestures are where thought steps aside and the hand takes over.
This series is rooted in intuition, chance, and movement. It draws from the practice of free association and automatic drawing, letting marks emerge without interference from logic or planning. What appears on the surface is a record of impulse, of state, of subconscious presence.
These works are raw, immediate, and instinctive. They carry the texture of the moment they were made. Sometimes rushed, sometimes hesitant, sometimes chaotic. They are not composed but uncovered. Like pulling something out from under the skin.
Each mark is a gesture of being. Each line a whisper from beneath awareness. Together, they form compositions that feel alive, unpolished, and emotionally charged.
This is not about storytelling. It’s about process. Presence. Permission.
Permission to let the subconscious speak.
Permission to bypass perfection.
Permission to not know why.
Gestures is the most intimate of the categories. The most vulnerable. It’s not trying to be understood. It simply is.
A tracing of inner motion. A visual stream of consciousness. A map made by the body, before the mind has time to catch up.
